(aka Postgres) is an open-source relational database. PostgreSQL has earned a strong reputation for its proven architecture, reliability, data integrity, robust feature set, extensibility, and the dedication of the open source community behind the software to consistently deliver performant and innovative solutions.
The Wicket Scorecard integrates with relational databases such as Postgres to retrieve custom datasets. An example of this might be where a video player sends individual player events (pause, play, stop) to a custom database for later analysis. The Scorecard will retrieve this data and map it to our native objects in order to display metrics related to user viewing behavior.
The Postgres database could be hosted in Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or elsewhere; we simply need credentials and the network path to be open to access it via a JDBC connection.
